The Effect of Cultural Intelligence on Employees' Organizational Communication Emphasizing the Mediating Role of Psychological Needs
The aim of this article is to investigate the effect of cultural intelligence on the organizational communication of employees, emphasizing the mediating role of psychological needs in the Cultural-Artistic Organization of Tehran Municipality. The statistical population of the present research was made up of 311 employees of the Cultural-Artistic Organization of Tehran Municipality. Using the simple random sampling method and Morgan's table, the number of statistical sample was estimated to be 108 people. This research is applied in terms of purpose and descriptive-survey in terms of nature. The data of this research was collected using the standard questionnaire tool. The results of the research illustrated that metacognitive cultural intelligence and cognitive cultural intelligence are effective on employees' organizational communication with emphasis on the mediating role of psychological needs. Furthermore, motivational and behavioral cultural intelligence have an effect on the organizational communication of employees with emphasis on the mediating role of psychological needs. As a result, using cultural intelligence, it is possible to develop new revelations and rules for social interaction in a new and innovative cultural environment by promoting information processing at a deeper level. Still, by satisfying psychological needs, the basis of the necessary conditions for psychological, cognitive, coherence, and mental happiness growth can be made and the basis of a wide range of individual behaviors and organizational communication explained.
