Heaven lessings in Meccan and Medinite Surahs Based on Quantitative Content Analysis

A detailed description of the heaven’s blessings and their emotional and spiritual dimension has been revealed in the Holy Qur'an. There is a difference of opinion among commentators on whether the pleasures of heaven are sensual or spiritual, so some believe that the inner meaning and interpretation of sensual blessings is intended. This article aims to use the quantitative content analysis method and closed coding to show that both blessings are emphasized. With a detailed and a quantitative analysis of the heaven’s blessings, separated by Meccan and Medinite surahs, it shows that in the passage from the Meccan and Medinite surahs, sensual blessings is reduced and spiritual blessings such as divine pleasure, divine love, divine mercy is strengthened. In addition, in Medinite surahs, there is no mention of blessings details, and there is no mention of food and drinks, and the exact position and attributes of nymph with physical attractions, but with pure marriages, emphasized on the blessings’ spiritual dimension of and purity of heavenly wives.
