A Criticism and Review of Common Language Ironies by Lori Bakhtiari
Common innuendos are one of the most important elements of common language, and the common language in different regions of Iran is rich in this respect and can be studied from this point of view. In recent years, in the light of the researches that have been conducted in the field of language and popular literature, a lot of findings have been reported, but there is still no room for scientific criticism and analysis of common language allusions, especially because they are confused with metaphors and similes. Accordingly, in this article, the common allusions of Lori Bakhtiari in Kohrang city of Chaharmahal and Bakhtiari province are analyzed by the means of content analysis, descriptive-analytical approach, and the criteria for recognizing them from compound metaphors, allegorical metaphors, and similes are presented. Then, general allusions in terms of having or not having an equivalent in Persian language, topic and content, frequency, type of usage, construction of makani-e, relationship between makani-anah and makani-ba, speed of transfer from makani-ba to makani-anah, clarity and subtlety and grammatical type of makani-anah have been investigated. It has been briefly determined that there are special allusions in Bakhtiari's general language. Allusions made with "water", "fire", "hand", "head" and "face" have a high frequency. In Bakhtiari's general allusions, descent, bravery, courage, and art are praised, and indifference, laziness, and untidyness are condemned. Most of Bakhtiari's general allusions are current expressions.
