The Impact of Using Social Media on Journalists' Productivity
The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of using social media on the productivity of journalists. Based on the theory of media synchronicity , use and satisfaction and media richness, this study proposes a research model and examines how social media characteristics affect the efficiency of affairs through the use of work-oriented or social-oriented potentials. Gives descriptive research method - contextualization. The statistical population of this research consists of the community of users of communication and media in social and mobile networks in the country, which according to the Cochran's formula, assuming 161 people, was considered as a sample. The sampling method is simple random. The instrument used included a researcher-made questionnaire. The reliability of the questionnaire was 0.85 by Cronbach's alpha. Data were analyzed by SPSS program using univariate t-test. The results show that social media characteristics including permanence, publicness, symbol variety, availability,asynchronicity significant effects on social media use. Is. In addition, the use of social media affects the efficiency of journalists. There have been various considerations when choosing social media for business purposes or for social activities. Managers of news media organizations can guide their staff to use social media in the right direction to improve their work parameters and complete efficiency, and create groups for employees to share work information effectively.
