Quranic Concept of Self-Sacrifice and its Function in Traditional and Modern Social Order
The Quranic concept of self-sacrifice has different functions in the comparison between the two traditional and modern social orders expressed by Chalabi. In traditional society, self-sacrifice is placed in the section of warm asymmetric exchange relations and in the dimension of interactive set, and its function is the same as the Qur'anic concept that revolves around the meaning of "preference".
