The effect of work pressure on general decision-making style with the mediating role of faculty members' network behavior
This study was conducted to "the effect of workload on general decision-making styles with the mediating role of network behavior."
The research method was descriptive-survey with an applied purpose of correlation. The statistical population of this study, including all staff members of the faculty of one of the public universities, 322 were selected by simple random sampling. The sample size in the present study was 183 people were selected using Cochran's formula. Instruments used: Spectrum and Jack (QWI) Work Pressure Questionnaires (1998); Scott and Bruce General Decision Styles Questionnaire (GDMS) and Sturge, Guest, Ganavi, and Davy (2002) Network Behavior Questionnaire. The validity of the tools used, despite being standard, was assessed in terms of content and expert opinion. While the reliability of tools using Cronbach's alpha network behavior / 0.734, 0 general decision making styles / 965. Working pressure 900 /. Is obtained. Kolmogorov-Smirnov test was used to check the normality of the data and structural equation method was used to analyze the data. SPSS23 and Smart Pls3 software were used for data analysis.
The results showed that workload has an effect on general decision-making styles with a mediating role of network behavior. The sub-hypotheses of the research were also confirmed, ie work pressure also has an effect on network behavior.
Therefore, it can be concluded that by improving the decision-making skills of faculty members, an effective step can be taken to improve their performance.
