Intentional murder as the most serious crime against physical integrity has always been the focus of criminal science thinkers. and the necessity of entering criminology, especially in the field of etiology and prescribing preventive solutions, especially in the field of intentional homicide perpetrators, where individual and environmental factors are particularly effective in the occurrence of crime, has a special efficiency.

This research is a quantitative correlational study which is the unit of analysis of murder cases and secondary data was used to analyze the relationships between variables. The data in the files were quantitatively entered into the computer and analyzed using Spss statistical package. The statistical population in this research is the number of 110 murder cases committed from 1390 to 1394 in the city of Mashhad, which were collected after obtaining permission from the relevant authorities and analyzed in terms of etiology and providing preventive solutions for intentional murders.

In the ranking of the cause of murder, the first cause of murder motive is due to financial issues with 33 cases (30%), the second cause is family disputes with 24 cases (21/82%), and the third cause is honor issues with 21 cases. 19.09%) and in murder due to conflict (group conflict or conflict between parties) with 15 cases (13.64%) out of 110 cases investigated in 2013-2014.
