Intercultural Theory: A Study of the Relations of the Shiite All-Cultural Group in the UAE
Today we are witnessing an increasing trend of the spread of Islam and interaction of Muslims around the world with non-Muslims. Muslims make up about a quarter of the world's population, about 20 percent of whom are Shiites, and half of the Shiite population is based in the central Middle East. Shiites in these countries, are identified as a group that forms a "collective community", they interact with others religions’ follower, and their interaction and communication with others will affect their adherence to their religion. Accordingly, this article focuses on the pattern of communication between the Shiites of the UAE in this country and seeks to answer the question of what is the pattern of communication of the Shiites of the UAE as a religious minority group with the dominant society? and what communication strategy do they have? In this article, a multicultural theoretical framework is used and the research method is qualitative research and documentary study method and semi-standard interview is used to extract the communication model. The findings of this study show that there is a relationship between the degree of adherence to religion and the pattern of communication.
