Hygienic Preventive Strategies to Control Coronavirus Epidemic (Covid 19) Based on Religious Teachings

The study of diseases prevention is considered as an important factor and a cheap method to control a variety of infectious diseases such as coronavirus (Covid 19). Due to comprehensiveness of Islam, it has preventive hygienic teachings, that in many religious teachings, the infectious diseases such as plague and cholera were mentioned, and by revising its basis, some strategies can be provided to combat the coronavirus. The present study seeks to provide preventive strategies to combat infectious diseases from a religious perspective and its compliance with medical guidelines in both personal and public health, and emphasizes the role of these strategies in adhering to health practices to combat Corona by the religious people.

This research is a descriptive-analytical library study that extracts hygienic preventive strategic components by studying religious teachings and has compliance each of these strategies to the preventive guidelines of medical science.

From the religious teachings in facing infectious diseases in the two areas of personal and public health, four strategies are approached: the strategy of purity and cleanliness; environmental health; Social distance; quarantine. These four strategies are in full compliance with the guidelines and findings of medical science regarding corona virus and include the religious obligation to all obligees, which motivate more religious people than others to adhere to the preventive health guidelines against Corona
