Investigation and comparison of goal orientation, coping strategies and sources of stress in students with attention disorder and normal in Farashband city
The purpose of this research was to investigate and compare goal orientation, coping strategies and sources of stress in students with attention disorder and normal students.
The participants of this research included 300 people (150 people with attention disorder and 150 people without attention disorder) from the students of Farashband city, who were selected based on random sampling method. In order to examine and compare research variables in two sample groups of participants, Swan attention disorder questionnaire (2004), Elliott and McGregor's goal orientation questionnaire (2001), Strachers et al.'s coping strategies questionnaire (2000) and questionnaire Sources of stress complement Godzilla (1998). The reliability of research tools was determined by Cronbach's alpha coefficient and their validity was determined by internal consistency.
The results indicated the acceptable validity and reliability of the questionnaires. To investigate the difference between the two sample groups in the research variables, the multivariate analysis of variance method was used, and to investigate the relationship between goal-orientation and stress sources with coping strategies, multiple regression was used simultaneously.
The results of statistical analysis showed that there is a significant difference between the two sample groups in the research variables. Also, there is a multiple relationship between goal orientation and stress sources with coping strategies.
