Identifying and Ranking the Factors Affecting the Development of Sports Talent Management (Case Study of Wrestling)

The purpose of this study was to identify and rank the factors affecting sports talent management. This research is of descriptive-survey type and also based on the objectives of the research is of applied type. The statistical population of this study included sports experts and managers. People were purposefully selected as a sample (199). The data collection tool was a researcher-made questionnaire in which the identified components were around the axes of talent identification, talent management and talent development. To analyze the data, descriptive and inferential statistics including exploratory factor analysis, confirmatory factor analysis and Friedman test were used through SPSS software version 21.The results show that the identified factors have an effective and significant role in the talent management process and among them, the three components that had the most role in the talent management process are in order of priority: talent identification, talent development, talent management, Interfering factors are often the most negative factor in talent management. As a result, sports managers in the field of wrestling should help the talent management process by strengthening the effective factors in sports talent identification according to the identified priorities and reducing the role of disturbing factors in this regard.
