Determining relative meritocracy in organizations using data envelopment analysis (DEA) technique

Abstract:

One of the most important needs in human societies and the concern of people in every field is the issue of meritocracy. Since meritocracy is indicative of components such as efficiency, effectiveness and productivity, the aim of this research is to determine relative meritocracy in organizations based on these three functional and obvious components. Therefore, after collecting information from the considered areas, 11 organizations (government and private) were finally selected for performance evaluation. The names of these organizations will remain confidential according to the obligations of the researchers. It is clear that according to the existing modeling, the DEA (data envelopment analysis) technique should be used. Using mathematical modeling and Lingo software, the findings show that only two organizations number 2 and 11 have been able to maintain their stability and procedure in the matter of meritocracy
