Re-reading architectural patterns and arrays of the historical city of Masouleh using awaiting concepts of the Savior and Mahdaviat

Abstract:
Concepts related to the category of awaiting, the savior and Mahdaviat have represented the Islamic-Shia art f this land. This research aimed to explain the architectural patterns and arrays of the historical city of Masouleh using concepts of awaiting, savior and Mahdaviat. The research uses descriptive-analytical as well as library methods in the theoretical section, while using field methods and objective presence to set an artistic stage through a survey method. The objective study was based on architectural patterns of the historical city of Masouleh. The research, as stated, seeks to reread the symbolic concepts related with the category of awaiting, savior and Mahdaviat within patterns, numbers, geometric shapes, plant shapes, lines, plasterwork, carving patterns, tiling patterns and architectural arrays of the said city. The research also seeks to read the Islamic architectural arrays and Shia art styles using interdisciplinary bodies of knowledge to better understand the category of awaiting, savior and Mahdaviat.
