Designing a Virtual Social Media Pathology Model based on the Development of Sexual Risk and Body Management in Adolescents

The purpose of the current research is to design a pathological model of virtual social media based on the expansion of sexual risk taking and body management in teenagers.

The research method is a combination of qualitative and quantitative methods (mixed) of an exploratory type. The statistical population of experts and all adolescents aged 15-19 years old in Shahr Qochan who have an account on Instagram and have used Instagram, for the purpose of sampling, 30 people were selected by non-probability snowball sampling for the experts, and 313 people were selected by stratified random sampling for all teenagers. The research tools included interviews. The semi-structured consists of 40 questions and a researcher-made multi-item questionnaire that was extracted from the interview questions and answers. The validity of the questionnaire was confirmed using factor analysis and its reliability was reported as appropriate.

The findings were analyzed with confirmatory factor analysis, independent t test and one-way analysis of variance to compare the demographic information of the subjects. The results showed that according to the results of the Friedman test, the chi-square value showed a significant level, indicating that the average level of each of the dimensions and components of virtual social media (Instagram) is different based on the expansion of sexual risk taking in teenagers. The ranking or prioritization of each of Hanshang Grain's indicators is that changing human values and beliefs and orientation towards the opposite sex has the highest average, and informing parents has the lowest average.

In the end, Hanshan showed that there was a significant difference between Instagram users in terms of sexual risk taking and body management. Therefore, the status of women's sexual risk-taking and men's body management were statistically significant, and the average of women's Instagram users' sexual risk-taking and body management was higher than men's.
