The role of GIS in the landscape design knowledge management process (With the approach of explaining the model of digital visualization and digital mental perspective)

This study tries to study the applications of GIS in the field of the landscape by studying the researches in the field of landscape architecture and GIS. This study presents a conceptual model for the position of GIS in the process of acquiring design knowledge, based on "visual presentation of landscape", for landscape architects by presenting a model of digital visualization and mental-digital landscape. Here, the process of producing knowledge with the help of GIS, from "designed" to "visual presentation" will be described and a model for it to provide the role and position of GIS in the context of acquiring knowledge gained from "landscape design". To explain. The nature of this study is qualitative and has been done with the help of a systematic qualitative review method. Based on the findings, research based on spatial intelligence can be integrated with GIS in three areas: 1- Modeling 2- Analysis 3- Visual representation. On the other hand, according to the proposed conceptual models, it can be inferred that GIS has two innovative parts for environmental studies in landscape architecture: in the first part, reproducibility and the possibility of performing the process methodically, this possibility to the landscape architect. Allows studies to be conducted in the form of a procedural process to acquire design knowledge. In the second part, the integration of other layers of information allows landscape designers and planners to gain new knowledge.
