Personality Traits and Job Performance of NAJA staff in Tehran City
The quality and effectiveness of the organizations' performance is a vital factor in the realization of development and welfare plans of the organizations. Successful implementation of job performance requires the recognition of the effective factors. The objective of the present study was to investigate the roles of personality traits and job involvement in the job performance of the NAJA staff in Tehran city staff.This study was descriptive-correlational. The statistical population included all NAJA, municipal working in Tehran in 2021. From among the population, 130 individuals were selected through random sampling method. The instruments included Demographic questionnaire, Job Performance questionnaire, Job Involvement questionnaire, and revised NEO Personality Inventory. Content validity was examined through the qualitative method. In addition, the reliability of the questionnaires was examined through the internal consistency method using Cronbach's alpha coefficient. In order to analyze the data, SPSS software (version 25) and Smart PLS software (version 3.3) and path analysis were used.The direct effect of conscientiousness on the staff’s job involvement was significant. Moreover, the direct effects of conscientiousness and job involvement on the staff’s job performance were significant. In addition, the indirect effects of extraversion, agreeableness, and conscientiousness on job performance (through the mediation of job involvement) were not significant
