The book Travel to the south of Iran
This article introduces the book Travel to the South of Iran، a travelogue by Albert Houtum-Schindler (1846-1914 AD) on his journey to the south of Iran. The original book is in German and was published in 1879. It contains Schindler's notes from his observations in the Persian cities. He was recruited by the Persian Qajari king، Naser al-Din Shah، to install telegraph wires from Tehran to Bushehr. He recorded the names of prominent figures، clans and tribes، villages، cities، and historical places very precisely. Here the Persian translation of this book is codicologically and bibliographically reviewed
