Investigating Resilience of the Central Part of Cities to Crimes (Case Study: Districts 11 and 12 of Tehran)
Urban resilience refers to a place in a city that, due to proper management and planning, has increased its tolerance to natural and human crises and can overcome a crisis with the least amount of financial and human losses and recover in the shortest possible time. Return to its normal state. This article was compiled with the aim of investigating the resilience of the central part of Tehran (Districts 11 and 12) to crimes.
This applied study employs a descriptive-analytical research method. In this study, theft crimes are modeled using statistical tests, and resilience is evaluated using questionnaires and official documents.
The present study showed that the correlation coefficient of the crime rate and resilience is -0.355-- the higher the resilience level of the society, the more the crime rate.
The spatial and holistic approach to social issues, especially crime, shows that in the analysis and action to control the occurrence of crimes, all social, physical, and environmental dimensions should be considered as a process.
