Factors affecting the implementation of smart urban management(Case study: Shiraz city)

In recent years, the paradigm of urban management intelligence has become one of the key categories in the field research literature. Meanwhile, according to the latest ranking in 2018, none of the cities in Iran are on the list of the top smart cities in the world. For this reason, in this research, the design of an intelligent organization model for Shiraz Municipality is examined to determine its executive and practical solutions and to determine the components affecting intelligence. This study was performed in a descriptive-analytical manner. The required data were estimated from a sample of 384 citizens living in Shiraz, which was collected using a researcher-made questionnaire. Structural equation modeling in software environment (AMOS) was used to achieve the research objectives and test the hypotheses. In the first part, confirmatory factor analysis method was used to evaluate the fit of measurement models and in the second part, path analysis method was used to investigate the structural and significant model of relationships between variables. According to the research results, the smart urban environment has a positive effect (0.56) on smart urban management. In other words, with each unit of change in the smart environment, the variable of smart urban management changes by 0.56 units and in the same direction. Regarding the impact of smart organization on smart urban management, smart organization has a positive effect (0.71) and smart governance has a positive effect (0.73) on smart urban management.
