The Relationship between Narrative Methodology and Truth according to Aristotle , Paul Ricoeur and Derrida, The Politics of Life or Contradiction
The purpose of this research is to examine the relationship between "truth" and "narrative" from Foucault's paleontological aspect, and the evolution of "truth" and "narrative" in three pre-modern eras represented by "Aristotle", "modern" period represented by "Paul". Ricoeur "and postmodern" has represented Derrida. The classical period refers to Aristotle, which is based on the principle of "identity", and in the modern period, to "Paul Ricoeur", which is based on the principle of Kantian limitation and based on "meaning", and in the form "Creative imagination" and "narrative hermeneutics" and in the post-modern period to "Derrida" based on emphasis on differences and "absence of reference".The question of this research is how to establish a relationship between "narrative" and "truth"? The hypothesis of this research is that: the relationship between "truth" and "narrative" is dynamic and this link is established through "metaphor". The findings of this research are that "truth" and "narrative" are verbal It is in the period of "pre-modern", "modern", "post-modern" and this ratio has changed over time, but despite the change in the three mentioned thinkers, the narrative they present about politics is based on friendship and not based on domination.
