The International Law’s Approach against Corruption of Multinational Corporations
Nowadays, multinational corporations have changed human societies and they no longer could be considered merely as economic actors. Multinational corporations spend significant sums each year to influence governmental institutions or to gain contracts. Bribery provides multinational corporations with the possibility to obtain information that leading to their success in the tenders. The traditional notion that only governments are responsible for fighting against corruption has been challenged as a result of the rise of economic, social and political power of multinational corporations. Therefore, their responsibility also should be increased due to outcomes of their practices. This matter make it necessary to ratify the norms and rules for those legal entities.
