Manifestation of the Husayni Arbaeen: An Imamate-oriented Perspective

Based on numerous relevant Quranic and hadith-based evidence, the data indicate that Arbaeen represents sincere loyalty and mourning for Imam al-Husayn. Thus it represents and renews the mournful Ashura tragedy. On the anniversary of Arbaeen, millions of mourners flock to Karbala from all over the world, a mass march that implies aversion from polytheism, tyranny, and corruption; it announces public and universal yearning for loyalty to the truth and justice. In addition to giving lessons of noble moral teachings, it aims to prepare everybody for the coming back of the last Divinely-appointed Infallible Imam al-Mahdi whose universal governance shall manifest the ultimate rule of Allah.
