Designing a Compensation System Model for Municipal Employees and Managers (Case Study: Zahedan Municipality)
The purpose of the current research was to identify the dimensions and components of compensation for the services of employees and managers in Zahedan Municipality, which was carried out with a qualitative approach.
The research method is practical in terms of the goal and exploratory in terms of the execution method. The statistical sample was formed by university professors and experts who are knowledgeable in the field of service compensation and senior managers related to human resources of the Social Security Organization. In order to collect information in this research, an open and in-depth interview was conducted with 33 key informants (saturation limit) who were selected by a purposeful method and according to the judgment of the researchers. The theme analysis method was used to analyze and interpret the data obtained from the interview.
Finally, based on the findings of the research, 6 main themes, the main basis of payment, short-term motivators, long-term motivators, managerial benefits, non-basic receipts and organizational respects, as well as 54 sub-themes were identified based on the main themes.
Service compensation is an important and determining factor in economic and social behavior. Managers can use the proper design of the compensation system in order to monitor and influence the behavior of the organization's people and individual and organizational productivity.
