Predicting the anxiety of the corona virus through the personality characteristics and defense mechanisms of Azad University students, Khorasgan branch

The aim of this research was to predict the anxiety of the corona virus through the personality characteristics and defense mechanisms of Khorasgan Azad University students. The statistical population included Khorasgan Azad University students in 1400. 90 people were randomly selected as a statistical sample. Research tools included anxiety questionnaire (Beck, 1998), personality traits (McCree and Costa, 1985) and defense mechanisms (Andors, Singh and Bond, 1993). The data was analyzed using spss software. The obtained results showed that there was a significant relationship between anxiety of the corona virus and personality traits and defense mechanisms (p<0.05). Also, personality traits and defense mechanisms had the ability to predict the anxiety of the corona virus.
