Identifying and extracting characteristics of multicultural police Mohammad-Reza Yousefzadeh
The aim of this study was to identify and extract the characteristics and nature of the multicultural police between the years 2000 and 2023. The statistical sample consisted of all available resources to the researcher that discussed the characteristics and nature of the multicultural police during the specified time frame. The research tool used was the researcher's checklist developed by the researcher. In order to gather relevant information, foreign databases such as Elsevier, Eric Science Direct, and PubMed, as well as Persian databases including SID, Irandoc, Noormagz, and Magiran, were searched using keywords such as "multicultural," utilizing Yahoo and Google search engines. A total of 59 sources were found, and after applying inclusion criteria, 18 articles were selected based on the research objectives and the specified time period. The data was analyzed using a descriptive-analytical method. External audit was employed to ensure the validity of the data. The results of the study identified and extracted 30 characteristics associated with the multicultural police. Possessing these identified characteristics enables the police force to effectively address the challenges presented in multicultural environments and engage in constructive approaches.
