Inscriptions related to Shiism in historical works of the early Islamic centuries of Iran

So far, citing the historical and religious books of the early Islamic centuries, very valuable information has been published in connection with the Shia religion. Referring to the same sources, it has been determined that during this period, Shia religion had many followers in different cities and regions of Iran. But when the archeological findings of this time period of Iran that are related to the Shiite religion are examined, comprehensive and not much information has been published in this field. Considering this, it was necessary to investigate such evidence in the current territory of Iran in an independent and purposeful research. The main question of the current research is whether the archaeological evidences such as the inscriptions used in the existing historical works also support the influence and spread of Shiism in Iran in the early Islamic centuries or not? As a result, the current research was compiled with the aim of examining the historical works of the early Islamic centuries of Iran that are somehow related to the Shiite religion. Considering that few archeological evidences related to the Shia religion were identified in Iran from the first and second centuries of Hijri, the present article mainly examines the works of the third to fifth centuries of Hijri. The method of the current research is descriptive-analytical and the method of gathering information is based on the review of library sources and the study of some historical works in various museums inside and outside the country.
