Attitudes and Computer Literacy of Smart School Teachers in Using Information Technology in Educational and Administrative Processes

In today's age, information and communication technology is a powerful tool that there is no other choice but to face it. Information and communication technology is penetrating various fields, including education, at a stunning speed. Undoubtedly, smart schools can be considered as one of the most obvious signs of the influence of information technology in the field of education.The present study was conducted with the aim of investigating the attitude and computer literacy of teachers in the use of information technology in educational and administrative processes in Kermanshah province. The method of conducting this research was a descriptive survey. The statistical population of this research is all the teachers of Kermanshah province, which at the time of the research, their number is 22,742, and by multi-stage and simple random cluster sampling method, 378 people (201 women and 177 men) as a sample were chosen. To collect data, two standard questionnaires of attitudes towards the use of Yavuz and computer technology by Son, Rob and Karismiadji have been used. The reliability of the questionnaires is 0.84 and 0.79, respectively. The statistical methods used included descriptive statistics (mean, percentage, frequency) and inferential statistics (one-sample t test). The findings showed that the attitude (sig = 0.008) and computer literacy (sig = 0.01) of teachers of smart schools are significantly effective in using information technology in educational and administrative processes. According to the findings, it is suggested to consider attitude and computer literacy as two components in the selection of teachers in these schools
