The Effectiveness of Applied Behavior Analysis Training on Social Anxiety and Aggression in Children with Autism in Zahedan city
The present study was conducted with the aim of investigating the effectiveness of applied behavior analysis training on social anxiety and aggression in children with autism in Zahedan city. This research is practical in terms of purpose and semi-experimental in terms of execution method with a pre-test-post-test design with experimental and control groups. The statistical population of this research includes all children with autism spectrum disorder in the age range of 8 to 12 years who refer to treatment centers and rehabilitation clinics in Zahedan city, using the available sampling method, 8 children with autism spectrum disorder as Statistical samples were selected from the target population and were randomly divided into 2 equal groups (including an experimental group and a control group). Data collection was done by holding practical behavior analysis training sessions and also presenting Connor's social anxiety questionnaire and children's hostility and aggression questionnaire (proactive/reactive). The obtained data were analyzed using levene, Kolmogorov-Smirnov and covariance tests. The results indicated the significant effect of applied behavior analysis training in reducing social anxiety and aggression in children with autism in Zahedan city. Therefore, in the field of treatment and education, it is possible to benefit from applied behavior analysis according to its nature and function.
