Examining the role of Religiosity and Sense of Social Security in Predicting Social justice with an Emphasis on Health
One of the important goals in health policy is to ensure social justice in health, so the present study was conducted with the aim of investigating the role of religiosity and sense of social security in predicting social justice in the health system.
The research method was descriptive-correlation. The research population included all citizens aged 18 to 69 in Tehran in 2022, and 768 people were selected by stratified sampling (men and women) based on Cochran's formula. The data collection tools included Alivardinia et al.'s religiosity questionnaires (2015), Asl et al.'s sense of social security and trust (2023), and Riahi et al.'s (2018) social justice questionnaires. Data analysis was done using Pearson correlation test and multiple regression with SPSS version 24 software.
The results showed that the relationship between religiosity (r=0.600) and feeling of social security (r=0.688) with social justice was positive and significant (p<0.01). Also, 37.3 percent religiosity and 47.6 percent social security predict social justice.
Based on the results, religiosity and feeling of social security lead to the expansion of social justice, so the research results show the importance of the role of religiosity and feeling of social security in promoting social justice of citizens.
