Political Entrepreneurship, a Strategy in the Transition Process to Sustainable Development

From the perspective of the Austrian school, this article critically examines and investigates political entrepreneurship as a manifestation of alignment between entrepreneurs and an institutional framework aimed at securing exclusive access to resources. Political entrepreneurship has emerged as a notable phenomenon in developing economies and has a consequential influence on the attainment of sustainable development goals. This investigation was carried out employing an extensive delineation with a generative methodology to this notion, via the compilation of amalgamated information sourced from documentary outlets and semi-structured interviews with proficient political specialists, who were meticulously chosen through theoretical purposive sampling and the main characteristics of entrepreneurial activities were identified and It has presented a model of political entrepreneurship with a sustainable development approach. The research methodology is characterized by its fundamental-developmental objective. Furthermore, it is qualitative and exploratory in nature, where the Grounded theory is employed to organize and analyze the collected data. The paradigm model was derived from the examination of 4905 conceptual propositions, 6 selective codes, 17 axial codes, and 73 open codes. The findings indicate that the central category in the model of political entrepreneurship is significantly influenced by multiple links. These results can be applied to other economies that are in the process of development. This study provides insights into the holistic approach that can be taken to leverage the capabilities of political entrepreneurs, thereby fostering innovation in the political arena and implementing reforms in the institutional structure for politicians and policymakers. Consequently, the adoption of this model leads to the strengthening of the institutional structure and facilitates progress towards sustainable development.
