Social and political positions of women from the point of view of contemporary commentators

Women's socio-political positions are one of the most challenging issues. The current research aims to investigate the opinions of contemporary commentators in this topic by using the descriptive-analytical method. From the various reasons to prove or deny the right of women's political participation, it can be concluded from the Quran that women can participate in the governmental positions. So, regarding to the influence of time and place conditions, the expansion of women's social demands and the orders of the supreme leader in the social management of the country, more accuracy of opinion should be done in this field. Regarding to the fact that monotheistic thought assigns a special role to the family in the society and in the relationship between men and women, it can slightly balance the mentioned result.In fact, many religious rules related to women's and men's rights have been made with regard to the sanctity of the family institution. So, the presence of women in the field of sovereignty and political participation is legitimate to the extent that it is compatible with the affairs of the family or the position of the woman in the family. In other words, preserving the family is the limit of women's political and social rights.
