Comparing the effectiveness of emotionally focused couple therapy and imagotherapy in Zarand city

The current research method is a semi-experimental design with a pre-test and post-test design targeting the control and experimental groups, and the statistical population includes all couples who visited the counseling center in Zarand for marital problems. Before testing, participants were administered a communication patterns questionnaire to determine the sample group. The selection method was random, and the 21 couples who participated in the study were randomly divided into three groups: two experimental groups (emotional therapy group and imagery therapy group) and a control group. The experimental group participated in couple therapy sessions. To analyze the data, descriptive and inferential statistics were used to compare the effectiveness of two approaches to couple therapy in improving relationships between couples. Emotion-focused communication therapy and imagery therapy exercises were found to be effective before and after the test, and there was a significant difference between the control group and the experimental group. This training has greatly improved the couple's relationship.
