Evaluation of the geotourism capabilities of Zanouzagh village in Tabriz using the fiolit model

Tourism has various forms and types that are different according to environmental conditions. Geotourism is one of the sub-branches of tourism. Geotourism is one of the branches of sustainable tourism that focuses on the geological features and natural landscapes of a region. Geotourism is a form of tourism that causes the geographical growth and stability of the destination region, its environment, culture, historical and aesthetic heritage, and also improves the lives of the residents of that region. The purpose of this research is to evaluate the geotourism potential of Zanouzagh village in Tabriz using the Violet (National Park) model. For this purpose, the geotourist area of ​​Zanoozgh was chosen. The geotourist centers of Zanouzgh village were investigated. In the present study, Violet's model was used, which examines the geotourist area of ​​Zanouzag based on four criteria: origin of formation, geographical distribution, tourism, and access status. The results obtained from Fiolet's model showed that this geotourist area with a score of (10) from the total of effective items has various capabilities.Based on this, by using the geotourism potentials in the studied area, the results were obtained that these areas will be very useful for attracting tourists and developing tourism. Therefore, it can be concluded that by identifying and creating facilities in the geotourist areas of Zanouzgh region, it will lead to the attraction of tourists and the development of welfare infrastructure. Based on this, it is suggested to use other geotourism topics such as geomorphological, economic and cultural processes in the study area in future studies.
