Higher education, as one of the most crucial societal institutions, requires innovation in teaching methods to respond to the rapid and complex changes of the modern world. This study aims to identify the dimensions and components of innovative teaching methods in higher education.
This qualitative study was conducted using a content analysis approach. Data were collected through semi-structured interviews with experts and faculty members of Tehran universities during the academic year 2022-2023. Data analysis was performed using NVivo software and thematic analysis.
Five main themes were identified in this study: innovative teaching, artificial intelligence in educational innovation, smart innovation management, innovation and entrepreneurship development, and information technology. Each of these themes was divided into various components and concepts.
The study results indicated that innovation in teaching methods can enhance the quality of education and learning in universities. Additionally, challenges such as technical issues and the need for cultural changes were highlighted.
