Freedom from Mo lavi's Viewpoint

Jalal Aldin M u hammad Movlavi, the great Sufi in our culture, has discussed many points, one of which is the concept of freedom. Understanding his views and thoughts in this respect familiarizes us with most major lines of Sufi and Muslim thoughts on freedom. This paper categorises Movlana’s thoughts on freedom in to three groups and elaborates on them. First, the paper discusses blocks that Movland has enumerated for achieving freedom. Such blocks include external forces such as destiny and fate as well as internal forces like ignorance, sense, wisdom, imitation and so on. Second, the paper discusses ways of achieving freedom in movland’s view. Such ways include love, obedience, following prophets, death, and so on. Finally, the paper discusses the most importand purposes that he consider for freedom such as relief from agony, love, Cerlainty, and eternality.
