Analyzing Time Management in Crimes Detection with an Emphasis on the Prevention of Recidivism
Crime detection is one of the missions of the police and plays an important role in preventing the occurrence of crime and its repetition. One of the important outcomes of crime detection is the public order and security of the society, in which the role of the police is significant and time management is one of its pillars; Therefore, the present research was conducted with the aim of analyzing time management in crime detection with an emphasis on preventing recidivism.
The present research was applied in terms of purpose and qualitative in nature and the method of data collection utilized a semi-structured interview. The participants in this research were 22 intelligence police detectives and law enforcement and judicial experts who were selected by purposeful sampling until theoretical saturation. Also, the questions and results were checked and confirmed in terms of validity and reliability. Data analysis was done by content analysis method using Maxqda software.
Paying attention to time management in the process of crime detection has three important dimensions: "preventing the multiplicity and serialization of crimes in order to break the chain of their occurrence, collecting crime evidence through timely presence at the scene and preserving the traces and signs of the crime, judicial interaction and coordination with "The approach of accelerating and facilitating the preliminary investigation process" is of great importance that, while helping to formulate, implement and implement crime prevention activities, it is directly effective in preventing the repetition of crime and expanding its scope, and it increases the speed of the process. Crimes are also detected.
The development of technical and scientific knowledge of the police (especially police awareness and preventive police) relying on new technologies in the direction of scientific detection of crimes and crime prevention is very important, and in the meantime, improving the level of interactions between the police and the judicial system. With the approach of facilitating and speeding up coordination, it leads to the improvement of time management in the process of crime detection, reducing the time of crime detection, increasing the detected crimes, preventing the repetition of crimes and delaying proceedings, and their overall result leads to the prevention of crime.
