The current research is descriptive-survey in terms of practical purpose and in terms of data collection. In this research, in order to collect information in the field of theoretical foundations and research literature, the literature review was used and the field method was used to collect data for analysis. The statistical community of the research is experts and specialists in the field of media and crime detection; 132 people were selected to answer the questions by random sampling using the Cochran formula. The researcher made a questionnaire as a data collection tool. Also, in order to answer the research questions, structural equation modeling and Smart-PLS software were used.
The findings of this research show the confirmation of the conceptual model and all research hypotheses according to factor loading coefficients, Cronbach's alpha coefficient, composite reliability coefficient, convergent validity and checking the fit of the overall model using the goodness of fit criterion. In this way, there is a positive and significant relationship between the components and dimensions of the media and the communication dimension, the information dimension, the educational dimension, the persuasive dimension and the structural dimension and the criminalization process.
The results of this research show that in order to be more successful in the field of criminal investigation, the dimensions and components of the influence of the media in the criminal investigation process should be taken into consideration by local managers and planners.
