Abstract:

The present research examines the normative system of talk-oriented programs in new media from the perspective of the Quran. New media have diverse program formats and distinctive features such as being "interactive", "digitized", "multimedia", "online" and "virtual". In these media, due to the fading of news and message gatekeeping, audiences are active in receiving and transmitting concepts, so that in talk-oriented programs, the three sides (presenter, expert, audience) are equally and directly involved in the program. Therefore, the complete format of dialogue presents itself in the best possible way in new media. One of the most common program formats in new media is the talk-oriented format. Employing this format in new media, using the divine speech, can attract many audiences and have a great impact on deepening religious values and religious norms. In this research, we seek to identify and examine the norms governing talk-oriented programs in new media, based on the two elements of "message" and "message sender", using Quranic verses and the thematic analysis method. First, we refer to the words in the "mufaa'alah" form, which indicate sharing and interaction, such as "muhaawarah" (dialogue), "mujaadalah" (argument), "mukhaaTabah" (addressing), "mukaalimah" (conversation), etc., to point to the norms related to dialogue. Therefore, we examine some of the norms of the message sender, such as "dialogue with emphasis on commonalities", "respect for heavenly religions", "respect for the audience", "not entering the private sphere", etc., as well as the norms of the message with content such as "monotheism-oriented", "justice-oriented", "instructive", "speaking with honor and respect", "avoiding speech without knowledge", etc., so that through this, the level of activity of culture-making new media can be examined and evaluated as an Islamic media standard for institutionalizing religious values and norms in the format of talk-oriented programs.
