Developing a causal model of Quality of life in school based on Academic support and School atmosphere with the mediating role of Academic attitude
The quality of life of students in school is a multi-dimensional structure that various factors affect its increase. The aim of the current research was to develop a causal model of quality of life in school based on academic support and school climate with the mediating role of students' academic attitude. The statistical population of the research included all female students of the second year of primary school in Khorram Abad city. The statistical sample of the research was 435 people who were selected by multi-stage cluster sampling method. Data were collected using quality of life in school questionnaires of Anderson and Burke (2000), academic support of Saunders (2005), school atmosphere of Lee (2017), academic attitude of McCutch (2003). Structural equation modeling (SEM) was used to analyze the data. And in order to check the significance of indirect effects, Sobel's test was used. The results of the data analysis showed that the proposed research model has a good fit with the collected data. The findings also indicated that the direct paths of academic support and school atmosphere were significant on the quality of life at school for students. Also, their indirect paths with the mediation of academic attitude were also significant. Based on the findings of the research, it can be concluded that in order to increase the quality of educational life, it is necessary to pay attention to the role of academic support, school atmosphere and academic attitude.
