Which Religion? Which Religious Language?

Abstract:
The language of religion has been a basic research topic in the philosophy of religion. One of its pivotal aspects concerns the cognitive character of the language of religion. The present article deals with the most significant approaches in the field of the study of religious language in the West and seeks to determine if they are applicable to Islamic texts, especially the Holy Quran and the Infallible Imam's hadiths.
