The Value of perceptions In Avicenna, Sheikh Ishrag and Mulla Sadra

The present paper deals with the views of three great Islamic philosophy on the value of perceptions. These philosophers are Avicenna, Sheikh Ishrag and Mulla Sadra and whose views are essential for studying Islamic epistemology.However appealing the present discussion, the philosophers themselves did not devote any specific discourse to such a topic. Hence, their reflections on this topic can be found in different topics such as psychology, categories, mental existence, and so forth.A great majority of Islamic philosophers believe in the correspondence of mental pictures with the outward reality. However, the question of the present paper is whether they raised any definite criterion for reaching an agreement between the mind and the reality.
