Scorpion stings account for 10%-15 of all bites for many decades, scorpions is a known significant medical problem and social importance in middle east area, specially in underdeveloped tropical countries scorpion stings couse a wide range of sign and asymptotic Aim of study is a assessment of clinical present and management of scorpion bits in jahrom city The prospective study was done between 1380-82 and total of 63 cases of scorpion stings that refer to medical center were studied. Data included demographic and first aid managements were conducted by medical persons in referral cantors (nurses or doctors) Total 63 victims were studied (3.male and 33 female years mean (23/815/1). Upper extremities were the most common site of bite. The most common and systemic symptom was pain (%88/9) and anxiety (68/3%) respectively. Other significant symptom included Cardiac system with palpitation (46%), respiratory with dispread(%38/7)Male had more respiratory problem(p=0.017)the majority of victim used loc ad closure, and immobilization as a first aids. The most common administrated drags were analgesics (85%) and antihistamine (74/6%)and used specific drags for cardiac problem such as nifidipin or atropine. Based on the result, it seems that scorpion stings in this area not associated with serer life throated effects. Another significant points of the present study is low knowledge of oar medical staff about management of scorpion stigs finally it is important continue similar studios for better evaluation of various types of scorpions and their symptoms in the area.
