The Relationship between Transformational and Transactional Leadership Style of Managers with Expert’s Organizational Commitment in Physical-Education Offices of Fars Province
The purpose of this study was to assess the relationship between transformational and transactional leadership style with expert’s organizational commitment dimensions in physical offices of Fars. The sample in this study consisted of 40 experts in physical Education Offices in Fars. For collecting data the following three questionnaires were use: personal characteristics questionnaire, Bass-Avolio questionnaire, and organicational commitment questionnaire (Meeyer and allen). To analyse the data both descriptive and inferential statistics were used. The results indicate that there is a relationship between transformational leadership style and affective commitment. (P<0/01). There is no relationship between transformational leadership style and the other commitment dimensions. (P<0/05) There is no relationship between transactional leadership style and commitment dimensions. (P<0/05) There is a relationship between age and workrecords with affective and continuance commitment. (P<0/05). There is no relationship between the educational degree and the expert’s commitment dimensions. (P<0/05) Based on these findings it can be said that transformational leader- ship style of managers was more effective on expert’s organization commitment.
