Notes on Sufi Psychology

Ms. Anne Marie Schimel has attempted to scrutinize mystics and Sufis works from a psychological standpoint, and through the Quranic verses and prophetic traditions as well as poets such as Rumi and Attar and mystic contexts get into the core of mysticism and Islamic Sufism.This paper includes the life and works of such a great researcher of mysticism and it has been endeavored to make a survey on her attitudes toward Sufi psychology and mystic anthropology.The Sufi worldview is also studied through the evidences found in Quranic verses and works of mystics involving Roozbahan Boghli Shirazi for which there have been four keys studied, i, e, Sadr (seat of honor) Heart, Fowad (heart) and Internal heart, and thereafter, the status of secrecy and mystery has been signified.
