The Importance of Middle East and a Brief Survey of the Great Middle East Plan

The Middle East region has always been important in political developments and strategy- taking by global powers.The increasing importance of Middle East region with regard to strategic and geostrategic issues has been crystal clear in the viewpoints and strategy of global powers, especially the US during the past decades.Therefore, to homogenize this region, the US government has brought under consideration the large Middle East Plan, (with the pretext of) under the disguise of apparently sowing the seeds of democracy, but actually plundering the energy of the region. Thus, while introducing the importance of the region and its influence on global issues, this article investigates the aims of US and Zionist regime in representing the large Middle East Plan with a geographic viewpoint.
