The Determination of Spatial Variations of Urban Amenities through the Grading of City System in Sistan and Baluchestan Province

In this paper we have studied and analyzed the grading patterns of Sistan and Baluchestan Province through the use of 20 city indexes, and the application of current research methods in geographic studies like library search and statistical techniques (including Z-score analysis). The aim of the study was the determination of spatial variations in urban system of the study area for the purpose of presenting scientific information for planners and decision makers of regional issues, which is of great importance for reaching the social justice goals. Results of the study briefly verify a heavy political and administrative concentration in Zahedan, blocking urban amenities in this Province center. Deprivation is an ugly phenomenon of smaller cities especially those located farther from Center, with an exclusion of Zabol thanks to its long historical background (3200 B.C.), and suitable environmental position.
