Artificial neural network; a New Approach for Measuring Academic Librarie's Service Quality

Abstract:
Effective measurement and exact analysis of service quality is the first essential step to promote libraries performance and media resulted in improving methods of services in these centers. The study was carried out as a strong tool in nonlinear modeling using obtained data from customer’s expectations and perceptions to explore using procedure and artificial neural networks in Yazd central library. On these studies student’s expectation’s and perceptions provided in Yazd University were measured using LibQual standard questionnaire then were analyzed the results by ANN. The result shows a gap analysis has more ability at evaluating service quality in university libraries to the performance or perception model. This confirmed the positive role of expectation at evaluating service quality in universities libraries. we also got better results using data collection about expectations and perceptions as an entry in ANN to the preceding models. This indicates that there are better models for evaluating service quality in case of using new procedure like artificial neural networks.
