Evaluation of the Tradition of 7 kinds (Forms) of Revelation of Qur ̈an In the Light of Reason and the Islamic Traditions

With regards to the important status of the revelation of the holy Qur¨an, many of the Shia and Sunni religious scholars have studied the traditions about the revelation of Qur¨an, including the tradition indicating that Qur¨an has been revealed in seven forms (accents), and criticized it.Discrepancies in the texts of tradition narrated by different narrators; existance of other traditions contradicting the "tradition of 7 forms", ambiguity about the meaning of this tradition, its conflict with the authentic and correct tradition and word of Imam Sadeq (p.b.u.h) related by Zorarah; contradiction and conflict of meaning and contents of the tradition of 7 forms; and finally the truth that the said tradition was related by a few uncredited persons (according to the shia scholars) are from the important problems and doubts about the above mentrioned tradition.The Prominent writer, by reviewing the views of the contemporary Shia scholar, such as Allamah Tabatabaei, Ayatullah MÄrefat, Dr. Hojjati, Ayatullah Mir Muhammadi, and Ayatullah Khoei, and comparative study of the "tradition of 7 forms" and other traditions about the revelation of the holy Qur¨an, concludes that it has been a false or forged tradition and has no value.
