The Concept of Public Culture in Terms of Possible Worlds Concept

Many attempts have been made to present a definition or impression of public culture concept. However, numerous complexities of meaning, referent, and other problems surrounding public culture continue to challenge scholars. These complexities stem from a number of factors. First of all, in the current studies such as sociology, anthropology cultural studies, the concept of culture is not clearly distinguished from other concepts: numerous and different definitions have been presented. Another factor is the vague definition of the public culture concept in these studies. There are much ambiguities, therefore, in the definition of public culture and determining its area of application and referents.
