Abstract:

Using a post is a common way in gaining the retetntion for coronal restoration in an endodontically treated tooth. With proper post selection this treatment has high success rates. in post selection some criterias such as endodontic condition, the remant tooth structure, ferrule effect must be considered and it is important to select a post with a propere length, diameter, type and material.On the other hand, new posts and different cements have been introduced which it helps dentists to provide more flexible treatment planes.
